Then a night or so later, Nathan noticed S was really warm. Yeah, like 102 degrees! Eventually I checked her throat and it didn't look good. We decided it must be strep throat because she had all the symptoms. I stayed home with her all day Sunday and the next day took her to see the doctor. The test in the office was negative for strep, but he wanted to send a culture to the lab and started us on antibiotics anyway. A couple days later the lab results showed it wasn't strep. By this time she was feeling much better and her throat was looking better so we took her off the antibiotics. I guess it was a virus?? So hard figuring these things out sometimes!
Thankfully, neither Nathan nor I have come down with anything! I'm so glad S is feeling better. Now if we could just get back to a normal, non-waking sleep routine........!
You know when a 3-year-old stops moving for more than 20 seconds that something's wrong! |
Here's what we did to make staying home a little more fun... |
These are the very same curlers my mom put in my hair as a girl. |
Her hair didn't dry completely before we had to take them out, but still some pretty curls. |
That's my pretty girl! |
