Ridin' the waves

Nathan's co-worker invited him and a couple other co-workers and their families to ride wave runners. Since it was near my brother we asked his family to watch S while we went. She had a great time there (swinging, jumping on the trampoline, playing with the dog, writing with markers), but she would have loved playing in the water and sand, too. Maybe next time??

It was my first experience riding/driving a wave runner and I was a little nervous since I'm a little nervous in the water to begin with. The first time out I rode behind Nathan. I knew he would take care of me if anything happened and he wouldn't do anything crazy with me on the back. It did kind of remind me of riding a motorcycle with him. I liked it. There was a little wind, but there weren't big waves. The second time out I took the driver's seat and the more I drove, the more I loved it! It was still a little scary, but that kinda made it more fun ;-) There may have been some screaming/squealing involved.

We only went out twice, but it was still fun. It was sunny and warm and relaxing. I unfortunately didn't get any pictures of us on the wave runners, but here are a few from the experience.

We also drove by the Ogden Temple, the night
before it was dedicated. Sadly, we didn't
make it to the open house, but I was
glad to at least see it in person.
