Happy Birthday Daddy

We just celebrated Nathan's birthday and had a great day together. I made a breakfast casserole for him and we had a relaxing morning and watched a movie. I took him out to a motorcycle dealership he's been wanting to go to for a long time where he test drove a motorcycle he's had his eye on and liked it even more than he expected (oops, maybe that wasn't such a good idea of mine! haha!). I made him a tres leches cake and we are still enjoying it--yummy! My mom and sister, Lori, came over for dinner and we had a nice visit that evening. S managed to not give away what any of his gifts were!

I sure love Nathan! He makes my life better in SO many ways!! I'm grateful he works hard so that I can stay home with S. He is a loving and patient husband and daddy. He truly is the "good man" I prayed for for so long!

Pre-birthday dinner at Tucanos

Daddy had lots of help opening presents

trying out the motorcycle

This little girl had to sit on just about
everything you could possibly sit on in the store!

Now, if Mommy got her pick, she'd choose
one of these 4-wheelers!

It's a good thing we have such a good helper
in our family ;-)

cousin time

My niece and her family recently moved close to us. She has a girl about a year older than S and a little boy almost a year and half. We've been able to do things together a few times and S and her cousin (technically first cousin once removed, but close enough ;) have had some fun times playing. They've become good friends and play well together. It's been fun getting to spend time with them! Sadly, they've found and bought a house South of us and will be moving there soon so we probably won't get to see them as often, but we've enjoyed having them nearby while we could!

Bet you didn't know Elsa had a twin =)

Pained smiles on each one. But what good kids
to try to do as they're asked.

Coloring Elsa (of course--poor Anna just doesn't get
the love she deserves)
